Two days prior to WAI, I received a phone call from AA saying they want to forego my M&G and just do an onsite interview at WAI. At my interview I was asked Tell me about yourself, Why American, TMAAT you were task saturated, TMAAT you flew with...

My interview experience was exactly as others have described. No surprises and the interviewers were super friendly! They definitely stayed stoic so it was hard to tell how I was doing throughout. They also asked lots of follow-up questions which presumably helped me score more points. 10/14 pilots in our group got CJOs on the spot. Definitely put in the work to make your logbook clean and accurate, and make sure you sign every page with your full name! They seem to greatly value...

The gouge on here is spot on. The interview experience went just as others have said.  Make sure your logbooks are absolutely squared away. It appears to be the number 1 reason not be offered a CJO on the...

The interview went exactly as the others have described. When we first arrived to the Center through the company provided van, they led us to a room to collect our documents and logbooks. From there, they took us to museum where we went into a theater to watch a motivational video that focused on the company's cultural values of inclusivity and the importance of leadership. From there, a senior duty pilot came and answered any questions we had and then led us on a short tour around the...

I was part of the afternoon interview group. As I arrived, I saw at least 6 people from an earlier interview group being walked out looking pretty glum, presumably having not been offered a CJO. The first part of the on-site interview went as described with turning in logbooks, followed by the museum tour and video. They led us back to the DC-3 where we met our interviewers; I interviewed with a senior captain and a four year FO. They asked me three TMAATs (time you had a conflict with a...

Meet and Greet at OBAP straight into admin Interview. (view the study guie of this website). TMAAT questions.  Next day interview. Logbook check then met interviewers. They introduced themselves and spoke a little bit about their backgrounds and personal lives. I was then asked to tell them a little bit about myself. 3 TMAATs 2 tech Scenarios:  Customer service question.  It then turned into more of a conversation about the airline industry. Then asked if I had any questions...

TMAY TMAAT questions, (view the study guide of this website).  WWYD questions.  Once complete, they asked if I had questions. I forgot to prepare a question and then asked them “what's your favorite part of American?” They both laughed and then gave an explanation and asked me “Why American?” I then asked a follow up question, which led to them asking me another question which was very conversational. They seemed to enjoy “uno reversing” you if...

I got the interview last month. Did HR online meeting. I wore my suit. Only 20 mins and 4-6 questions. Three weeks later I did my in person. Got flight out to DFW and hotel. woke up and did the afternoon slot. They shuttled me over. I meet the other 9 candidates. Got badges and turned in our logbooks and documents. I would recommend having a binder that you can place all your logbooks into one binder. I used an Accordion binder. After that we got walked over to their museums and looked at...

This was easily the most professional pilot interview I have ever had and the entire process was great overall. I had my application submitted for about 8 months and then got an invitation to interview - the email will include details on how to schedule everything including transportation and hotel. The interview process was completed in 2 parts - HR interview and Pilot interview. About 10 days after the initial invitation I scheduled and completed the HR portion over Zoom. The HR...

Identical to what this website says. Shuttle will pick you uk at hotel and drive you to the museum where the interview will be held. Turn in logbook and then watch a ~20 minute movie on American Airlines and their pilots. Go back over to DC-3 and tables are spread out around the footprint of the airplane to complete the interview. TMAY, 2 TMAAT, 2 WWYD, 2 CS (I only remember one of them they asked me) My questions: TMAAT - you helped a colleague through a difficult situation? TMAAT - you...
