  • Read Page 1 ... snacks while we waited. There were 8 in my interview group with variety in age and background. After the presentation, we went back to the lounge and waited to be brought back to the panel interview and sim. The panel was one pilot and one HR, and they had two panels going at once, and based who they took based on the timing of your return flight. Most of us departed around the same time, so we mostly just volunteered. The sim was the Lear, and the instructors had a list they referenced to call two at a time back for it.  Instructor in the right seat sets up everything for you and gives aircraft configuration prompts. They want to see how you hand fly the IFR pattern and the ILS 22L into JFK to a landing. Then reset for a V1 cut to level off. Make callouts and briefings as you are familiar with, and I recommend using the flight director. For the panel interview, the pilot started by examining my logbooks and all the documents they required, then both members took turns asking TMAAT questions and customer service-based scenarios. Coming from 121, I received the "why FlexJet/why not a...

The truth is that my experience was almost exactly as described here. The company covers your travel to Dallas, Texas, for the interview. You arrive the day before and stay at the hotel. Then, the next morning at 6:20 a.m., everyone meets in the lobby, and at 6:30 the shuttle van takes you to the Center, where the entire interview process takes place. The first part of the interview was the company presentation, which was very good and very motivating. We were a small group of five...

Flown to DFW, put up in the Hotel near the airport. 0630 shuttle to CAE where badges were handed out and we were given a brief tour of breakroom etc. Presentation started not long after. Covered everything about pay, benefits, schedule, aircraft assignment, training, and Red Label/International programs. Very good information, and provided a few questions for panel interview. My interview group totaled 9. We were parked in the breakroom and the panel/sim folks came out and grabbed each of us...

Everything that I read here from others was spot on. In the group of 12 we had 5 confirmed CJOs. Overall was a great experience, very professional and pleasant. As we all left for the airport we were discussing how things went. My opinion of what they are looking for is a pilot with a scan that can see and correct before large deviations occur, basically ATP standards. They understand you haven’t flown this sim ever before and if you do overshoot altitude at least be trying to...

Arrangements made for travel to DFW are very detailed. The hotel is comfortable and the breakfast voucher gives a good meal before a long day. Met the rest of the group downstairs and took the special shuttle to CAE. Everybody with flexjet is welcoming. New hire pilots included. Company presentation with Damon very detailed. Panel interview with two Flexjet employees: Josh and Reagan. Low threat setting and also logbook and other documents review. Then Sim, (view the sim/scenario section in...

I felt extremely prepared for this interview based on the information available on this site. Submitted an application, and got an e-mail to schedule a phone call the next day. Picked a call time for the next week. I talked to Sandy, who was wonderful. Mostly background questions, why Flexjet, and trying to sus out if I was a flight risk. Went over a blemish on my records not to dig deep, but just to ensure it wouldn't affect employment at Flex. While we were talking, I got the e-mail...

I thought the HR panel went great, so it must have been the sim that got me ! I am coming from a heavy Boeing and sitting down on a Challenger 601 straight to an ILS and V1 cut was not perfect for me! I thought they would understand that but apparently you have to aim the sim 100% or you are...

Had a great experience — the interviewers were really laid back and made me feel comfortable from the start. Definitely recommend studying the guide on here — no surprises if you prep well. They asked me about: • Who my mentor is • A time I had a conflict in the cockpit For the sim portion, I flew the Challenger 601 (even though I have no jet time). I relied on the V-bars at first, but they weren’t stable and that got me behind. Lesson learned: fly it raw...

11 total interviewees for my session, 9 were current or ex military. The interview panel was super laid back and comfortable for both me and them. A few TBAT questions, when have you gone above and beyond for a customer, tell me about a conflict you've had with another pilot and how did you work through it. They are looking for you to be yourself and if you can get along with others for 8 days in a row. The sim eval was as advertised. They are really looking for your hand flying IFR...

All previous write-ups are spot on. No gotchas. They come across as genuine in their desire to share info and get to know you. Panel was laid back and conversational with customer service questions, how will the family deal with 8 day rotations, tell me about your most challenging flight and how you dealt with it...etc. Total of about 6-8 questions that are listed in the Study Guide. Flew the Challenger 601...command bars lag the aircraft a bit so fly raw data until stabilized and then the...

Overall it was a well-organized and pleasant experience. Everyone was friendly and helpful. I’m not going to go into detail because there are plenty of accurate details already on here posted by others. Just be yourself, be honest, and stay calm. There are no surprises. Tips: if you haven’t flown a jet or a simulator, trust your instrument scan! It’s just another airplane but you have to stay ahead of it. Also, listen and maybe take notes during the company presentation. I...

  11. Properly prepared me in advance to mentally review for the interview and simulator portion.
