Read Page 1 ... for their team? As I mentioned, they care about the people who make up JSX, so they want someone who will fit in seamlessly. The HR portion is just some "tell me about a time" questions. I got asked, tell me about a time when: you experienced something unsafe in preflight or during flight and how you responded to that (safety is priority!) and you went above and beyond for a fellow employee. The technical portion is based on your skill level and experience. Everyone in our group got different questions. As CFI's, my partner and I got more technical questions than the others with more experience. Interview started at 08:00 AM. Met HR in lobby of hotel and was escorted to large meeting room in the hotel. HR went thru the benefits that JSX offers and their growth plans. Really a nice presentation. We were paired off in two’s and completed the HR section, a get to know you and a technical section. The information on this site was essentially what was asked. The only thing I can add is that they are really big on Icing. Know the textbook definition, know icing conditions, know how the anti-icing on the plane works. Other than that, they are great group of people and a great... -

Interviewing with JSX was a very wonderful experience. I thoroughly enjoyed meeting the JSX team-members that I met, and enjoyed the other interviewees just as much. I was in the 11am group behind an 8am group. The hotel is a very nice, newly renovated hotel. We were met in the lobby and transported over to the JSX headquarters were we got to tour a plane, meet people on the Scheduling & Mission Control teams. The JSX team truly is a wonderful group of people. They make you feel immediately at ease and comfortable in their presence and they really do care about the camaraderie among their team and creating a family environment. The interview itself was pretty straight forward. I was in a group of 6, and each of us was paired with another pilot of similar experience for the chief pilot and technical portions. This was simply the first phone interview. It went very well as it was conversational. They are looking for a family to build. The whole operation is not huge feeling and it starts at the top with Alex their CEO and visionary. I discussed about my love for their philosphy and growth strategy which gives them access to thousands of airports, not the usual hundreds that most 121 operators use. Interview was split into 3 sections and you are sent in pairs. The first section of the interview was a technical. I was asked questions like define T/O Distance and Landing Distance. Brief a couple STARS and Approaches. They tailor the questions to your experience. I had part 135 experience so they asked about part 135 regs like 135 alternate requirements. Flights to and from Dallas were taken care of. The hotel and shuttle were also taken care of. The next morning we met in a conference room with the other applicants and went over JSX benefits. Then we split up for interviews. I was flown into DAL the night before and given hotel accommodations. There were 2 groups of 6 interviewing at 8am and 11am. The interview started at 7:45am in the conference room where they gave a brief presentation on the benefits, pay, schedule, company culture, etc. Following, they split us up to rotate between 3 stations: HR Interview, Company "Soul" Culture Meeting, and Technical Interview. Everyone throughout the interview was friendly and professional. I guess because of my military, airline, and Part 135 experience, I was not asked any technical questions. Just a few tell us about yourself and a few tell me about a time questions.
