Read Page 1 ... describe "having the runway environment in sight", versus just saying that. In my defense, I had moved across the country to run a flight school as the sole CFI teaching only private students and unfortunately did not prepare exhaustively, which is my fault. Overall, I suppose I just didn't get a perfect score on the technical and perhaps the HR (they don't tell you) and there are enough applicants that got perfect scores that I just...

The interview was very much similar to the guides available on this site. Started with general HR questions regarding eligibility to work in the U.S., why Republic, etc. Asked a few questions regarding the company ie. what aircraft they fly, how many aircraft, bases, code share partners, etc. From there we moved into the technical portion. All of the questions were things seen on the guides on this site. Asked to read a metar and taf. Asked to brief the ILS 28C to KORD, as well as questions... -

The interviewers joined right on time. There was an HR person and a captain from Republic. They started off by asking me a few very simple questions like what my total flight time was, if I could work in the United States, any FAA violations, etc. After that they asked me some TMAAT questions, list questions (strengths/weaknesses), and a hypothetical situation where a captain was not following SOPs. The HR portion lasted maybe 15 minutes and then we moved onto the technical portion. If you... -

Follow the study guide and be strong with instrument knowledge. Approach plate knowledge is where about half of your technical questions will come from. Make sure you are comfortable with answering questions about each section of a Jeppesen... -

The overall interview was great, swift, professional, and in a comfortable environment. It started with the HR questions. They were your typical HR questions like aviation background, checkride failures(If you have any, make sure you have a good answer for what you gained from it), what makes a good FO, how would you describe and use CRM, and how do you address an issue in the aircraft. Next was the Technical portion. The pilot in this portion said to keep the answers short and to the point,... -

It was a very calm interview. Of course, I was nervous before, but I felt very prepared after spending time working with this site. I read every single question and was only asked about 20 of them. It started with the HR, then lead into the technical questions. I've heard peers hearing back in 2+ weeks, but I heard back several days... -

Very straight forward. It went as expected. 15 min HR and 15min with the pilot. All the questions asked were on the study guide. Nothing too in depth, and the pilot was rapid firing questions back to back. Be prepared to ask some questions to them at the end. They made the whole interview go smooth and called me back the next... -

Very Straight forward. Introductions then into HR portion, (view the study guide of this website). Then the Technical portion, we start with a METAR then went to a TAF, then they had me read a Jepp Chart, Then they started asking questions about my aircraft such as describe the fuel system etc., A few aerodynamics question that were on the study guide, Fuel requirements, and standard IFR regulations. Over all was a very relaxed and welcoming environment, felt like 20... -

Very professional, did the meet and greets and jump right into the HR portion, They gave lots of scenario based CFI questions and a couple FO scenarios where the Captain is doing something dangerous or break rules. The technical portion was mainly instrument such as can we land here, do we need an alternate, when is an alternate required, Etc., read this jepp plate, metar, TAF, then asked about systems in the aircraft I current fly, we end the technical portion with some weather questions. I... -

Starts with 20-25 minutes of HR questions, and then 25 minutes of technical questions- exactly what you have on the study guide. They will send you a METAR to decode, then decide if you need an alternate by the 1-2-3 rule, and then what are the alternate minimums (800-2, 600-2). Very comfortable...
