Read Page 1 ... those. My reply was by the checklist and SOP, and the interviewer kind of smirked and acknowledged that yes, obviously, but what would you be doing. He wanted to know basic steps like removing fuel flow and allowing engine to motor to cool, etc. No clue if I got it wrong or right but he seemed to respond positively to my replies. Aerodynamics we covered the standards and not much more. Dutch roll Coffin corner Swept wing Wing spoilers Camber Flaps/inboard and outboard Scenario question was odd and shifting. “Your FA informed you there is a bad odor coming from aft latrine” Turned into “FA says the odor is bad enough some passengers now claim they can’t breath”. But he never said it was smoke, didn’t smell like electrical fire,...

Interview was very similar to what I read on here from previous applicants. Interviewer was a retired captain who made it a very comfortable experience. Shared intros and then jumped straight into documents for pilot and plane, swept wing, mach tuck, coffin corner, where the wing stalls first. Then talked about threat and error management and anticipated vs unanticipated threats and a scenario about an over pressurization warning and how to handle it - memory items, quick reference... -

Retired captain was very kind and structured it like a conversation. We talked about my experience and how his career went. Went over hours, cents and any updates from time of application. Technical was straightforward. Jepp chart signs & symbols. Turbofan engine overview. High speed aerodynamics and things like Mach tuck. What would you do in these situations. Metars/ tafs. Some aircraft system overviews. CRM. Then timeframe for hearing... -

Very straightforward interview. Study the topics sent to you beforehand and read through the study guide and you’ll do great. HR and Technical combined into one interview by a captain. Know your weather, 91.175, systems, and aerodynamics, specifically those mentioned in the prep email (high altitude/speed, turbine engines, your own POH/AFM) Very relaxed interview but come prepared. Interview will be around 2 hours... -

Basically has been said by others. They are looking to see if you are prepared, know yourself, and have some sense of they want to sit with you in a flight deck for a few hours. Covered all the items they told you about in the pathway interview prep course. They also sent an email listing what would be covered. You should know the airline and exactly why you want to work for them and not a different airline. Know your jet stuff like high alt flying and how a jet engine works. Know the stats... -

Interviewer was an FO and did a great job making it a relaxed/pleasant environment. Interview was only about an hour and 15 minutes. We covered all the required HR questions first, asked me a few things about myself, why SkyWest, then TMAAT I dealt with a difficult student. Then we moved straight into the technical portion, which was exactly what was in the study guides and other gauges on this website. Discussed preflight action and airworthiness, systems on both jet and my aircraft of... -

The Interview was very conversational and the interviewer made sure I was comfortable. I spoke with a long time captain, he was very kind and happy to share his background and all the great things about working with the company. I shared my background. We then went over high altitude aerodynamics, turbine engines, hot starts, hung starts, weather, CRM scenarios (2 in 2 out). After the technical portion, we went over questions I had. Other than that it was mostly getting to know each other. I... -

Very friendly interviewer, all the questions asked were already talked about in AviationInterviews. If you study it, you will do fine! Know the engine(turbofan) and how it works well. We talked about Mach tuck and why it is dangerous. Explained coffin corner,When you're that high up you need a high airspeed, but if you exceed crit mach number then shockwaves are created resulting in a large amount of drag and center of lift moving aft creating a nose down force. We also talked about when a... -

Applied and signed first officer advancement agreement at the end of last year, interview last month. Interview was about two hours long and with a friendly captain that has been on property for over 20 years. Started off with a basic introduction, tell me about your aviation journey, verified hours, medical, ect. Over the next hour and half we covered every topic listed in the study guide. Know how to read a TAF / METAR completely, times they are valid for, and general aviation weather... -

The interview consisted of standard questions regarding total flight hours over the past 30, 60, and 90 days, as well as the past 6 and 12 months. It began with technical questions related to turbofan engines, the coffin corner, and Crew Resource Management (CRM). Overall, the questions were not particularly difficult, so I am unsure why I was not selected. Wishing the best of luck to everyone else in the... -
